Privacy, FERPA and how access works

School Portal is built around the rules private schools follow for student records:

• Parents see only their own children, and only after the office confirms each parent–child link.
• Teachers see their own students, and only the records they need.
• Every sensitive action is logged: approvals, grade releases, role changes, record views where it matters.
• Passwords and keys are stored securely; staff never see anyone’s password.
• Card details never reach the portal: payments happen on Stripe’s secure page.
• Student birthdates and addresses aren’t shown to other families.
